Our story started in December 2002 when the inspiration of the vision came to the Founder of TPG Orphanage, Mr. Olusegun Ogungbe. Soon after, in February 2003, the initial process of setting up the orphanage commenced. Almost six years later, on the 1st of December 2008 precisely, the orphanage home was opened for operations, and the Ministry of Welfare’s approval for admission of orphaned children was granted on the 19th of December 2008.
Set up to assist with the provision of the basic needs of life (food, shelter, clothing, healthcare and education) for orphaned and less privileged children, the orphanage home is designated as ADEDAPO OMOLABAKE HOUSE in memory of the founder’s deceased parents, Mr Gabriel Adedapo Ogungbe & Mrs Albertina Adeola Omolabake Ogungbe.
Our organization is registered with the Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare (the regulatory body that monitors its activities) and the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria. We are also registered members of the National Council of Child Rights Advocates Nigeria (NACCRAN), and the Association for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in Nigeria (AONN).
